I believe that a well-told story can change everything. I’ve spent my life telling stories through music - originally as a singer-songwriter, and now as a writer of musical theater. I love songs and stories that are crafted with honesty, humor, and heart, and I aspire to all of these qualities in my work.

My debut musical “King of Pangea” just had its World Premiere at the King’s Head Theatre in London. The show is based on my own experience, and has been generously developed with NAMT Festival of New Musicals, Barn on Fire, Jerry Mitchell, Utah Festival Opera, Foundation for New American Musicals, SYC Productions, Aubrey Swander, and with an incredible community of artists in Los Angeles, New York City, and London. It had developmental productions at Lyric Theater of Oklahoma and Aurora Theater in Atlanta (the Atlanta production was just nominated for five Suzi awards!)

My latest music release “West Coast Sessions” features several songs from King of Pangea, reimagined and performed by some of our favorite folk artists, and produced by James Henry Jr.

I have other musical + theater projects in process, which I’m happy to tell you about over a cup of coffee.

I grew up in California, and am now a proud New Yorker - along with my wife and our three year-old daughter, who can hail a cab like nobody’s business.
